MASFAA Conference Update

Have the past few years of constant challenges left you feeling like you’re running on empty? Save the date for the 2010 MASFAA Conference, Refueling for the Future, to be held November 3 and 4 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center.

With renewed energy and a strong focus on better serving our students and their families, planning for this year’s conference is well underway. Each year, the MASFAA conference serves as an important training event, as well as an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices with those at other institutions. As with recent years, schools will have the invaluable opportunity to participate in round table discussions on issues currently impacting their specific type of institution. Sessions and speakers will help our members to navigate the landscape of changing regulations and economic uncertainty.

If you are known as the office guru on year-round Pell, have created the perfect plan to communicate with families, or just have a topic that you feel needs to be addressed this year, now is the time to share with your colleagues. The conference session proposal deadline has been extended. Proposals can be submitted electronically through the MASFAA website. Even if you’d prefer not to give a presentation yourself, you are strongly encouraged to send in a proposal for consideration.

Please visit the MASFAA website throughout the summer for more details. Information on speakers and sessions will be updated as they are confirmed.
