GPCC Symposium Date Moved
One of the primary tasks of the Graduate and Professional Concerns Committee is to present a full-day winter event that addresses needs and concerns affecting graduate financial aid administrators. In the past, the Graduate Aid Symposium has been held during first week of December, shortly after the yearly MASFAAA Conference. This year, the Symposium will be moved to the end of January/early February, before the busy Spring season begins. Details will be forthcoming, once the date and location have been finalized. If you have any topics you would like to see addressed, please forward your ideas to Amanda Abreu for consideration.
Graduate-Focused Sessions at this Year's Conference
This year's 40th Anniversary MASFAA Conference will have a number of sessions of interest to graduate aid administrators. A session on veteran’s benefits with Patrick Campbell was of great interest at last year’s GPCC Symposium, and he will make a return appearance with MASFAA, at this year’s conference. GPCC is also coordinating a panel of aid administrators who are approaching policies and procedures from many different angles. Listen to how other offices are creating their internal procedures, and learn some tips on how to update your own. There is also a new Graduate Roundtable session this year, where graduate administrators can get together to discuss issues related to our profession, and to hear what other folks have to say. Please visit the Conference schedule online and register today!
