The results from the recent MASFAA election are:

Bernie Pekala, Boston College, President

Leah Barry, Boston University, Treasurer

Pam McCafferty, Fitchburg State College, Executive Council at Large

Melissa Metcalf, Boston College, Executive Council at Large

Ray O’Rourke, Roxbury Community College, Executive Council at Large

In her list serve post, past President Kathy Osmond said, “Please join me in congratulating our MASFAA elected officials for the upcoming year. Financial aid and professional aid associations face many challenges in the immediate future. Through our elected leadership and our network of committees, with their dedicated members and co-chairs, we will be in an excellent position to meet those challenges.”

The list serve announcement went on to thank all of the nominees who ran for office (the association fielded a great group of nominees). The Nominating Committee, which Kathy also thanked, received many compliments on the strength of the ticket.

Executive Council would like to thank all those members who took the time to vote. Kathy Osmond concluded, “Our plates are full, and your involvement is appreciated.”
