Needs Analysis Workshop By Jason Burke ASA Co-Chair, Professional Development & Training Committee MASFAA’s Professional Development and Training (PD&T) Committee hosted their annual Needs Analysis Workshop on December 5th at Northeastern University and December 6th at Mount Holyoke College.

Attendance was at a record high with 50 registrants at Northeastern University and 27 registrants at Mount Holyoke College. Julie Shields-Rutyna, Education Manager with The College Board, led the workshop. The workshop covered Federal Methodology (FM) in the morning and Institutional Methodology (IM) in the afternoon. Case studies and hand calculations were done using both methodologies. Julie’s expertise helped making Needs Analysis easy, fun and interesting. MASFAA PD&T committee hosts several events throughout the year. All events are listed on www.masfaa.org and offer an on-line registration feature.
